1. Product and/or Service Training

  • What are our products and how do they work to add value to our customers? What services are provided to support the products we sell?
  • Many products today are “sophisticated and technical” … requiring special skills for salesmen, service personnel and customers
  • Today’s sophisticated products don’t stand alone; the product seller must ensure that customers have the technical support they need to meeting their business objectives
  • Training can be designed and developed for delivery by inside-the company product trainers as well as subject matter experts (SMEs)

2. Business Training

  • How does a company make money on its products and services? What processes are used for selling, costing, pricing, delivering and assuring services
  • Selling products and services is not just an engaging technical hobby designed to please the customer and excite company employees. The company must use sound business practices to ensure that we are getting properly paid for all our great products and services

3. Work Competency Training

  • How does a company ensure that its workers have the critical interpersonal and practical skills that allow them to become great employees?
  • Today’s customers are the most educated and sophisticated ever known. Employees have skills needed for great communication, personal services and customer management paid for all our great products and services.
  • Training can be designed and developed for delivery by inside-the-company service trainers… or training can be customized from outside materials for use by outside subject matter expert

Holland & Davis is very flexible in the way we work with clients. We've outlined several kinds of engagements that might meet your needs for Technical Training.

  • Initial Conversation – Holland & Davis is readily available to engage in a one to two hour phone conference to talk through your company’s situation, what you might do about that situation, and how Holland & Davis could be of assistance.

  • Webinar on Technical Training – We offer an introductory webinar with an overview of Technical Training, what the issues are, and what kinds of solutions are being used as best practices. We then answer your questions in real time. Have as many in your room as you want… it's OK with us. We will have to talk about the length and purposes of the webinar to make sure we have met your needs.

  • Assessment of Your Technical Training and Its Needs – Holland and Davis is willing to travel to your location, use some of our structured tools, make an assessment, develop some high level recommended actions … and then present the work to you for your consideration. One big twist, we would recommend that you name two or three of your folks to be with us every minute and to take an active role in the assessment, development of recommendations, and play a leadership role in the summary presentation.  

  • Peer Review of Your Technical Training Projects/Initiatives – We are available to take a look at any of your specific initiatives and give a value added opinion about what is working and what might be done to add strength and acceleration to your initiative.  What initiatives might we add value to? Again, one big twist, we would recommend that you name two or three of your folks to be with us every minute and to take an active role in peer review, development of recommendations, and play a leadership role in the summary presentation.  

  • Leadership / Participation in Your Initiatives – We can play a role in your ongoing Technical Training projects, adding leadership, methodologies, tools and/or project personnel. We only have mature players… with 20+ years of business experience, knowledge of our methodologies, and cool heads.  Or we can just work with you during the scoping and planning of your Technical Training initiative … just let us know what meets your needs best.
