PM301: Mastering the Fundamentals of Program Management

Who should attend:

  • All project and program managers
  • Business unit managers who will receive and utilize the deliverables of technical programs
  • Technical professionals in training and organization development roles

Objectives:

  1. To prepare project and program managers to lead change effectively and efficiently in their organizations, and in particular,
  2. To prepare to fully integrate program and project deliverables into the day-to-day operation of the business
  3. To provide assessment information that managers can use to build their competence in change leadership

  1. What is a Business Program?
  2. How are Program and Project Management related?
  3. Using Program Management to fulfill the vision and/or strategy of the organization
  4. The traditional Program life cycle: 
  5. The Phases in a Program: Innovation, Concept, Development, Execution, Evaluation, Retirement
  6. Tools and Techniques of Program Management: Don’t leave home without them
  7. Assessment: What are your organization’s strengths and weakness in program management?

PM302: Implementing a Program Management Office

Who should attend:

  • Business and IT Program Managers
  • Business and IT Program personnel who will be assigned to Program Management roles
  • Senior managers whose businesses require project and program management support
  • Finance and Human Resource executives who will provide resource support to programs
