1. First of all, there is currently NO PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION in Change Management
   • As the field of change management develops over the years, there will surely be a professional organization formed that will eventually offer a professional certification … like, Professional Project Manager (PMP) offered by the Project Management Institute … or CMC (Certified Management Consultant) offered by the Institute of Management Consulting
     
     
   • When a professional certification is finally offered, it will be from a recognized, not-for-profit organization of Change Management professionals … and will require
     1. rigorous, independently-supervised testing …
     2. from an approved “Book of CM Knowledge” and
     3. proof of time spent in many change management roles … 
     4. over a period of years.

2. Individual training companies can (and many do) give their own certificates of completion as a part of their business model (these certificates are frequently called “certifications”). This type of training should be listed under the “training” section of your resume, not under “professional certifications.”

3. Holland & Davis does provide a “Certificate of Training Completion” after each and every workshop. This type of training should be listed under the “training” section of your resume, not under “professional certifications.”

4. If a more formal certificate of change management training completion is important to you and/or your company, we can arrange such a training certificate in two ways:

1. University of Houston Certificate of Completion (CEUs available) (i.e., you take Holland & Davis courses as a registrant of the University of Houston Division of Continuing Education … you do not have to take courses in Houston)
2. Jesse Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University Certificate of completion (i.e., you take Holland & Davis courses as a registrant of the Executive Education Division of The Jones Graduate School of Management … you do not have to take the courses in Houston)

5. Holland & Davis is a Registered Education Provider (REP) for the Project Management Institute. All our change management and Project Management courses can be used for continuing education credit for PMPs.
